About Me
My Personal Journey and Therapeutic Approach
My name is Efrat, and I am a mind-body psychotherapist.
I believe in the power to heal and empower people who face trauma or other life challenges. This belief gives me strength and hope during these difficult times.
I see therapy as a process that allows a person to connect with him/herself, understand feelings
and emotions and release internal barriers. By practicing mindfulness and connecting to the body,
the patient learns to observe his feelings and thoughts and identify the patterns that limit us.
The therapeutic process combines self-acceptance, inner understanding and connection to the body.
These give the patient practical tools to deal with the difficulties and challenges of life.
Using this approach, I aim to help people improve their quality of life.
Each person has a complex and profound life story. An understanding of the dynamics that brought him/her to where he is today, requires a deep look at the various stages of life and their impact on his/her conduct in the present. It is important to give space and respect to mechanisms and patterns of behavior, which were created in each of us in order to protect us.
I believe that the relationships in our lives are a significant and shaping factor, as well as the relationship formed between therapist and patient. Therefore, therapy has the power to contain, deal with, flood and even heal ancient wounds in our soul. The relationships in our lives are not only a means of daily existence but also an arena for growth and healing. Treatment that is based on relationships of trust and understanding, focuses on creating a safe space, where patients can reveal and process traumas and conflicts. These allow relief and strengthening of the patient's ability to face the challenges that life poses to them.
